About us.

At the time that this blog started in 2015, we were in Boulder and called ourselves “Colorado-based New Englanders.” However, in 2020 we headed back to New England. The Green Mountain state of Vermont is now our home.

Road, gravel cycling, travel, and outdoor activities are our happy place and, at times, our office space. We’ve chosen to explore the world on two wheels and by two feet. We’re sunshine worshipers, outdoor enthusiasts, ocean lovers, recipe-maker-uppers, coffee lovers, and community seekers. We are go-getters and entrepreneurs.

We follow our internal compass and not the pressure from those around us. Pamela is a physical therapist, running coach, and personal trainer. She helped start Petunia Mafia, an all-women cycling team based out of Boulder, CO. Jon is an event + marketing + social media guru who’s helped numerous start-ups, being an integral partner in the launch of Skratch Labs and iKOR Labs.

This blog starts as a collection of stories of why we bought a van, where it has taken us, continues to take us, and what we learned over the course of 18 months of living in the van with our bikes and dog(Penny), documenting the journey every step and pedal stroke of the way. The blog continues with life “off the road”, although we are constantly on the go, and lessons learned.

Now back in New England, we look forward to creating a new community and home to share. Off to explore the endless miles of gravel roads, hiking trails, a real snowy winter for the first time in decades and more.
